Second Hot Chocolate Run is a flying success
This weekend saw the second instalment of the Hot Chocolate Run Series, a family friendly running festival held at Dorney Lake, Windsor.
A sell out event, runners were able to choose between one of four run distances – 5km, 10km, 15km or 20km, offering a little bit of something for everyone. The event welcomed runners of all ages and abilities too, with several juniors joining in with the action – and posting some pretty impressive results in the process.
Martyn Edwards, Event Director for the Hot Chocolate Run Series says,
‘We are really getting into the swing of things now, and would like to thank everyone that made the event what it was, from event partners such as the Drummond Clinic to the volunteers, supporters, and of course the runners themselves.’
Martyn continues, ‘the beauty of these events is the fact that they really are open to anyone, of any level or background. Everyone can enjoy the fun atmosphere and more importantly a lovely hot mug of hot chocolate at the finish line. We can’t wait to introduce this exciting event concept to the rest of the UK, from Bath and Birmingham to Nottingham and Southampton, we have big plans here at the Hot Chocolate Run Series.’
Over 300 runners took part in this weekend’s event across the four run distances, and the top performers were as follows:
